NEW SMYRNA BEACH, FL: The Table 2 Committee invites the media to join them for “Play It Forward,” a celebratory check-donating event to benefit local youth sports organizations. The event will be held on Saturday, November 23, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Clancy’s Cantina, located at 301 Flagler Ave, New Smyrna Beach, FL 32169.
This event marks a significant donation of $5,000, which will be presented in $1,000 checks to five local youth sports organizations.
Organizations Receiving Donations:
New Smyrna Boys Rider Club: Inspiring young surfers with safety, sportsmanship, and environmental stewardship.
Southeast Volusia Soccer Club (S.U.R.F.): Cultivating community and sportsmanship in youth through soccer.
Cudas Cheer: Supporting the New Smyrna Beach High School Cheerleading Squad.
Oak Hill Sports Club: Offering inclusive sports opportunities for children ages 4-12.
Alonzo "Babe" James Community Center: Serving as a public space for recreational programs in New Smyrna Beach.
This event will feature light appetizers courtesy of Clancy’s Cantina, along with photo opportunities and a chance to connect with local sports leaders and the next generation of athletes.
About Table 2 Committee: Inspired by the legacy of local sports enthusiasts and community supporters, Ryan Michelbrink and Dave Fernandez (former owner of Traders Sports Bar), Table 2 Committee has become a platform for giving back to youth sports.
Table 2 Events: The Sandlot Reunion Weekend was a special, one-time celebration that brought fans together with cast members and the film’s director, David Evans, a New Smyrna Beach resident. This event celebrated friendship and nostalgia from the beloved movie. The Event is an annual tradition with a day filled with sports and friendly competition that brings the community together, keeping Ryan and Dave's legacy alive in Volusia County.
